It can be used as a form of data entry from printed records. CNN Based optical character recognition (OCR) refers to the process by which an electronic device checks the characters printed on the paper, determines its shape by detecting the color patterns and then translates the shapes into machine-encoded text. The ultimate goal is to convert the text image into text. However, the diversity of the input content makes accurate identification of characters a challenge for the OCR system.
